A consulting business, with a mom’s touch.

My name is Chanel, and I’m the owner of Moms’

I provide tech consulting and operations leadership to entrepreneurs, businesses, & organizations to build their capacity and expand their work.

My background in UX research & design provides the foundation of my knowledge on how to innovate, improve business practices, showcase compelling content, and organize projects and people.

Working with me

“Chanel is the exact definition of lead by example and makes everyone around her succeed in the work that they do. Chanel’s leadership qualities especially stood out when I was struggling with direction and voicing my concerns over a project. She listened with empathy, provided guidance in the user research plan that was created, and planned user interviews to help us connect with and understand the problem better.

Chanel creates a workspace that exudes inclusivity, trust, and strong collaboration. Her work demonstrates a high-level of empathy and problem-solving skills. She would be an amazing asset to have on any team. I was very fortunate to have her as my lead, mentor, and advocate.”

— Emily L., former UX design partner

“Chanel is a talented and creative designer, as well as a diligent project lead and just a pleasure to work with all around. When working on projects together she listened to our needs and gave insightful feedback. Super thankful to have had the opportunity to share the workspace with this brilliant woman!”

— Oksana W., former co-worker & project lead

“I’ve known and worked with Chanel for a few years (2018-2023) and there is no higher praise than to say I genuinely hope that we can work together again. Chanel was relatively junior in the UX field when we first started working closely. It took almost no time for Chanel to come in and impress across the organization with her thoughtfulness, her work ethic, and her desire to make a positive contribution to not just the business, but those around her.”

— Richard C., former VP of product & supervisor

My Background

In 2023 I left corporate tech to start my business, Moms’ Apostrophe, LLC.

At Moms’ I collaborate with a variety of clients and non-profit organizations (currently Black Health New Mexico and Tewa Women United) in ways that combine some or all of my skills in implementing new solutions, innovating on technology, engaging in stakeholder research, developing program strategy, community organizing and outreach, and empowering women leaders.

In 2010 I graduated from George Mason University with a B.A in Communications / Journalism, and a minor in Women & Gender Studies.

My current focus areas in work are supporting local community, and advocating for women, birthing people, families, and children.

Behind the résumé

In my personal time I enjoy engaging in many therapeutic and healing practices, playing piano, reading the pile of books on my nightstand, and spending time in nature in Northern New Mexico where I live, work and explore with my wife and son.
